LED Guide

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We collect as little as we can get away with.

Who we are

Alex Snelling, trading as LED Screen Guide is the data controller for personal data collected through this site.

  • Trading name: Alex Snelling, trading as LED Screen Guide
  • Business address: Unit 42, Court Road Industrial Estate, Cwmbran, NP44 3AS
  • Email: alexsnell11@gmail.com
  • Country: United Kingdom

What we collect and why

If you buy the guide

Checkout is handled by Stripe. We receive your email address, your name and billing country if provided, and the transaction record — never your full card number, which Stripe handles directly.

  • What we do with it: deliver your download link, send your receipt, and answer support or refund requests.
  • Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you, and our legal obligation to keep transaction records.
  • How long we keep it: six years for the transaction record, as required by UK tax law.

If you join the email list

We store the email address you give us, and (if you requested a free download) the fact that you requested it.

  • What we do with it: send the free resource you asked for, plus occasional emails about LED screen setup and our products.
  • Lawful basis: your consent.
  • How long we keep it: until you unsubscribe. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

If you just read the site

We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics to understand which pages are useful and where visitors come from, and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether our advertising works.

  • Lawful basis: your consent. Analytics and advertising cookies are switched off until you accept them in the cookie banner — if you decline, they are never loaded.
  • What is collected: pages viewed, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, and referring site. We do not attempt to identify you personally.

Who we share data with

We use these processors, and no one else:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Vercel — website hosting and analytics
  • Google — analytics and advertising measurement
  • Resend — sending your download link and any list emails

We never sell your data, and we never share it for anyone else’s marketing. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent safeguards.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it — and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email alexsnell11@gmail.com and we’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment details never touch our servers. Download links are verified against Stripe on every request and expire after a fixed window, so a shared link cannot be used indefinitely.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of this page. See also our terms of sale and refund policy.
